Delete Your Account

If you'd like to delete your Herd Manager account and all associated data, you have two options depending on whether you can sign in to the app.
Option 1: Delete from inside the app
If you can sign in, this is the fastest way:
- Open the Herd Manager app (or visit herdmanager.app in a browser) and sign in
- Tap More โ Settings
- Scroll to the bottom โ you'll see a section called Danger Zone
- Tap Delete Account
- Read the confirmation prompt carefully and follow the on-screen steps to confirm
Your account and all associated data will be deleted immediately upon confirmation.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you can't sign in to your account (forgot password, lost access to the email, etc.), email us and we'll process the deletion manually.
Please include in your email:
- The email address associated with your Herd Manager account
- Your farm name (if you remember it)
- Confirmation that you want your account and all data permanently deleted
We may ask follow-up questions to verify your identity before processing the request. Once verified, we'll process the deletion within 5 business days and email you a confirmation when it's complete.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

| Photos uploaded to your account (goat photos, receipts, etc.) | Deleted within 30 days |
| Public farm profile and marketplace listings | Removed immediately, deleted within 30 days |
| Subscription and billing records (active subscription canceled) | Subscription canceled immediately; transaction records retained as required by tax law |
| Push notification tokens for your devices | Deleted within 30 days |
| Aggregated, anonymized usage analytics | Retained indefinitely (cannot be linked back to you) |
Note: Some financial records related to past subscription payments may be retained for tax and accounting purposes as required by law. These records do not contain your herd data โ only the transaction details Stripe provides for accounting compliance.
What about my contributions to the community?
If you've added pedigree information to the Community Pedigree Registry, that data is shared with other goat farmers as a public reference. When you delete your account:
- Your name is removed from any registry entries you contributed
- The pedigree data itself remains in the community registry, attributed anonymously, so it continues to benefit the broader goat farming community
If you want pedigree data you contributed to be removed entirely (not just anonymized), please mention this specifically in your deletion request email.
Can I recover my account after deletion?
No. Account deletion is permanent. Once we process your request, your data cannot be recovered. If you want to use Herd Manager again in the future, you'll need to create a new account from scratch.
If you're not sure about deleting and just want a break, you can simply stop using the app โ your data stays safe and you can come back at any time.
